Vintage-Clothing.co.uk is more than a just a venue marketplace—it’s about common interest, fun and community. Like all communities, you need to agree to and stick to a few Community & Listing rules:

BE HONEST & FRIENDLY

Keep all dealings with other members friendly and fair. If you have a problem, try to work it out in a positive way without resorting to arguments and insults. Describe your items honestly in all ways and try to respond promptly to messages. Post your items out quickly. If you treat other members how you’d like to be treated yourself, life will be sweet!

ONLY BUY THROUGH THE SITE VIA PAYPAL

Never send bank transfers or cash/cheques in the post. These payment methods are not safe or fully traceable.

NO REPLICAS OR BANNED ITEMS

It’s illegal to buy or sell counterfeit items, and there’s no place for fakes or copies on Vintage-Clothing.co.uk. If we consider an item to be a replica or it lacks evidence to confirm its authenticity it will be removed. Any item that infringes copyright, intellectual property rights or brand recognition may not be listed in any section the Vintage-Clothing.co.uk website.

Users who continue to list fake items after being warned will be banned without further warning.
To clarify again, we do not allow the sale of any item that breaches trademark and copyright laws.

If you think you’ve spotted a fake or prohibited item on Vintage-Clothing.co.uk, please help out by reporting it to us using the Report This Item link that is in every listing.

ONLY SELL ITEMS THAT YOU OWN

We do not allow drop-shipping or taking pre-orders for items purchased from third parties. Items for sale must be items that you already own.

DO NOT MISLEAD

Use only true and accurate descriptions and pictures of your item. Do not use stock images or other people’s images. The same applies to your personal details; use your real information. If you impersonate other people your profile will be removed. No warnings will be given.

KEEP YOUR CONTACT DETAILS UP TO DATE

We use email and site messaging to keep you updated about The Site, your activity, any issues with Vintage-Clothing.co.uk and to share ideas and suggestions with you. It’s important that we have your most up-to-date email address so we can contact you when needed.
To check, change, or update your email address, go to My Account > Change Password / Email.
Your contact email is not visible to other users, and we will never share it with anyone.

USE YOUR OWN IMAGES

Do not use anyone else’s photos from Vintage-Clothing.co.uk or another site such as Instagram, Facebook, or anywhere else you can find them. Do not Google your item and use catalogue or stock images.
Be honest and open - only use your own photos, and feel free to get creative. The better your photos, the more your items may get noticed and the more you get noticed, the more you may sell.

THOU SHALL NOT SPAM

We all hate receiving unwanted messages or comments so don’t do it to other people. Spam can include, but is not limited to:

Advertising via comments on other’s items or private messages.
Hashtags or lists of keywords in descriptions that do not directly relate to the item you are selling. Do not refer to other items you’re selling in a listing or suggest that your item is similar to more than one brand.

TREAT OTHERS HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED

There is no place in Vintage-Clothing.co.uk for negativity and abuse against other users or the Vintage-Clothing.co.uk Team. This includes, but is not limited to:

Posting screenshots with negative or accusatory comments
Commenting or sending private messages of an aggressive, offensive or harassing nature
Responding to emails or messages from Vintage-Clothing.co.uk with aggressive or offensive language.

We have a zero-tolerance policy on abuse and harassment so you will be immediately removed from the platform if you are offensive.

If you experience any harassment report immediately via the HELP page of The Site and we will make sure that we act and investigate quickly.

What happens when The Rules are broken?

If your profile infringes the rules, you will be contacted by the Vintage-Clothing.co.uk team via email or site messaging informing you of what rules you have violated and what steps you need to take to resolve the situation. Until you agree to take the steps needed, your account may be placed in a Protected mode which totally limits your use of The Site. This is why it’s very important that your email address is correct and up-to-date. You can check, change, or update your email address at any time by going to My Account > Change Password / Email.

If you don’t take actions requested to resolve a problem, or if you ignore our messages, we may simply just close your account. That would not be ideal!
